Storms cause double trouble for Rolesville councilman
Frank Hodge spent the past week cleaning up tornado damage at this family farm on Rolesville's North Main Street. It was deja vu for Hodge, who saw a greenhouse destroyed March 6 when a weak tornado blew through this northern Wake County town.
Posted — UpdatedHodge, mayor pro tem of the town, is starting to question his luck. "The good news is, I don't believe it will happen a third time," he said Friday.
"We did not think the tornado was going to be as bad this time, but it turned out to be worse," he said. Two greenhouses were ripped to shreds, and storage buildings on the property crumbled, ruining the equipment inside.
The double whammy is not enough to dampen Hodge's spirits. He says he will rebuild.
"There are many places in Rolesville that were damaged much more significantly than our place, and we had no injuries here, and we're blessed for that," he said.
