RALEIGH, N.C. — After a soggy few days, the Triangle is getting a sunnier weekend with cooler temperatures and less humid weather.

Saturday's high will reach about 73 degrees as an expansive area of high pressure builds into the state.

"This air mass is a little cooler than Friday's and much less humid," said WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, breezy and cooler with some patches of light rain and drizzle. Highs will be in the mid 60s.

“On Sunday, it looks like we’re going to start to cloud up as a system tries to develop along the coast,” WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel said. “There’s still some uncertainty as to how much rain that will give us, but it has some potential on Sunday night into Monday, and it could also be very, very chilly when that rain occurs.”
