Power outages were reported in Vance and Durham counties late Sunday.
Storms are also possible overnight. Wind damage could be an issue with the storms, as well as lightning and very heavy rain, WRAL meteorologist Kim Deaner said.
Warm temperatures will continue next week.
Monday will be partly sunny with highs in the 90s. Showers and storms are possible again late in afternoon into the early evening.
