A cold front moving eastward across the state brought some rain to the WRAL viewing area Monday evening.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A cold front moving eastward across the state brought some rain to the WRAL viewing area Monday evening.

Gusty winds and hail were possible with system, WRAL meteorologist Nate Johnson said.

There were reports of trees down and power outages during the height of the storm.

Tuesday will be sunny, breezy and cooler with high temperatures in the low 70s.

The real chill will be felt Tuesday and Wednesday evenings with some areas dropping to the low 40s.
