A watch means that conditions are ripe for severe weather – such as a tornado, thunderstorm or flood – to develop. As storms develop, the could become life-threatening and damaging. Watches are intended to raise awareness and give you time to prepare. When a watch is issued remain alert for possible bad weather approaching.
