Delightfully mild weekend ahead

Posted August 15, 2008

— Highs are expected in the upper 80s during the weekend with a chance of showers on Saturday, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

An upper level trough of low pressure will create a chance of rain Friday and into Saturday. The trough should lift by Sunday allowing for drier weather.

Friday’s high temperatures are expected to reach about 85 with partly cloudy skies.

Lows are expected to dip into the mid to upper-60s overnight this weekend.

Wow, Justin T., way to be respectful. Meteorology is a very difficult field and those involved in it take great pride in their work. They give you a FREE service and they get nothing back from you except ridicule and complaints.

I think they should stop calling themselves meteorologists and go back to the original title... wizards. That way when the forecast is seldom if ever correct the wizard can grimace and wave his hands around in a spooky fashion.

At least that would be entertaining, not just plain wrong.
