Weekend weather looking ‘quite comfortable’

7-Day Forecast

Triangle residents can expect “a really pretty weekend” with temperatures in the 80s, WRAL Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

The weekend looks dry except for a slight chance of storms on Sunday.

Friday will be mostly sunny, cooler and less humid than previous days.

“High pressure is building into the area (Friday) and it will likely be a noticeable change from what we have had temperature and humidity wise over the past few days,” Gardner said.

Saturday will be partly cloudy and still quite nice. Highs will be in the mid- to upper-80s.

“It should be quite comfortable with less heat than what we had around the area Friday and perhaps even lower humidity,” Gardner said. “Don't get used to this change. We should notice rising heat and humidity Sunday.”

  1. Almost normal day today will feel warm, then back to below normal temps through the weekend. (So, what else is new?)
