Raleigh, N.C. — Winter brought one last blast to begin the week, with high temperatures only in the 40s Monday in Raleigh – about 20 degrees below normal for this time of year.
The cooling trend continues through the evening and Tuesday will dawn below freezing in many parts of the Triangle, WRAL meteorologists predicted Monday afternoon.
Tuesday morning will mark the trough, with temperatures warming through the afternoon and then moderating through the rest of the week.
Temperatures will continue to spring back, rising into the 70s on Wednesday with lots of sun.
WRAL Meteorologist Mike Moss predicted a pretty dry stretch for the next several days, with the next chance at some showers coming Saturday.
