Rain in Forecast Won't Ruin Whole Weekend

e-mail print friendly

Saturday should dawn sunny, WRAL Meteorologist Mike Maze predicted, but clouds will move in during the afternoon.

A band of rain could bring sprinkles in the afternoon, with the greater chance for showers coming after sunset.  There is a slight risk that any of the storms could become severe, but any severe weather would be south of the Triangle towards the border with South Carolina.

Sunday morning clouds will part by lunchtime.  It will be a breezy afternoon with temperatures will be much cooler, reaching only the mid-50s.

Isn't it a matter of perspective? How can anything ruin anything unless one lets it?

Bring on the rain. Isn't that what we want?? Ruin our day by telling us we are in a drought and cant wash cars, or water plants, etc etc. Rain and ruin in the same sentence is absurd. Let it rain and rain and rain all weekend.

I don't see how rain could ruin anything, what a ridiculous headline. I don't care if it rains all weekend. I'd rather have that than looking at that stupid huge red line they have posted as "the drought monitor".

The models have backed WAY off on this severe threat, still needs to be watched, but looks like Georgia, SC, and extreme SE NC will feel the brunt of it.

Will the storms be bad enough to where I can get out of driving an hour to an obligatory bridal shower? Pa-leeez I want heavy rain showers not a bridal shower!!
