Sun Returns This Afternoon
Valentine's Day got off to a snowy and slippery start in some areas of Central North Carolina, but clear skies should prevail through the rest of the day.

Most of the Triangle endured a wet, cold morning, but areas north and west measured up to four inches of the white stuff. WFMY News 2 in Greensboro reported that most of the Triad saw between 2 and 3 inches of snow. Heavier amounts fell to the north, in Rockingham and Caswell counties.
By noon, the precipitation had cleared and blue skies returned.
The weekend forecast is more on track with the average for mid-February, with daytime highs topping out in the low-50s and nighttime lows in the 30s.
