Cooling Wind Blows In
After brief and scattered rainfall, temperatures are falling across the Triangle this evening.

The system that ravaged much of the South with tornadoes weakened as it moved from west to east, bringing only a few thunderstorms across the area.
Light rain began over Sanford in the 5 o'clock hour and quickly moved eastward, with the heavier showers remaining generally to the south of the Triangle.
Skies will clear after midnight, Meteorologist Mike Maze said, with lows in the mid- to upper-40s.
Thursday, the weather will be more seasonal – mostly sunny, quiet and cooler, with highs in the mid- to upper-50s.
Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the 50s, with Sunday dipping into the low 40s.
