Storm threat, humidity lessen Thursday
Humidity and the chance for afternoon severe thunderstorms will dip Thursday before returning to the Triangle Friday and Saturday afternoon, said WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner.

"We're having a pretty morning out there," Gardner said.
The temperature in Raleigh at dawn was a pleasant 68 degrees with considerably less humidity than earlier in the week. The high is expected to reach 92 degrees.
The chance for storms is more slight Thursday, the result of a weak trough of low pressure in the area.
By Friday afternoon, a cold front approaches, bringing a greater chance for storms that could be severe, Gardner said. The front sticks around Saturday, and although the it won't be as hot, the chance for scattered storms remains.
