We should experience another unsettled day, but this one is likely to be less wet than what we experienced on Monday. The gray should remain today but drizzle should replace the steady rain and only be confined to the morning hours. Sunrise: 7:00 a.m., Sunset: 5:03 p.m. Wind: N at 5-10 m.p.h. Tuesday night: Cloudy with some spotty drizzle possible. Lows in the mid-upper 40s. Winds from the north at 5mph.

Mostly cloudy skies and mild. Highs in the lower-mid 60s. We expect a cloudy start to the day with increasing sunshine into the afternoon. How warm we get today will solely be dependent on how much sunshine we see this afternoon. Here's hoping for a bright and warm afternoon! Sunrise: 7:01 a.m., Sunset: 5:02 p.m. Wind: NW at 5 m.p.h. Wednesday night: Partly cloudy early on but becoming mostly cloudy with some dense fog possible by daybreak Thanksgiving. Lows in the mid-upper 40s. Winds will be light from the west.

N.C. farmers remain on shaky financial ground
A combination of oversupply of product, the down economy and feed prices driven up by ethanol production have many farmers on shaky ground, North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Steve Troxler said.

Question: What is the balmiest summer night on record? The highest low. Thanks.

Answer: At the Raleigh-Durham airport, the warmest minimum temperature on record is 78 degrees, which has occurred on several occasions through the years in the months of July and August. Over at the Wilmington airport, there have been at least a couple of occasions in August when the low temperature was an even "balmier" 83 degrees.
