During the storm:

Stay indoors and away from windows and glass doors
Secure your home and outdoor objects
Turn off propane tanks
If ordered to evacuate, do so immediately
After the storm:
Inform local authorities about health and safety issues
When cleaning debris, wash hands frequently
Watch out for animals, especially poisonous snakes
Immediately apply for assistance if property is destroyed or damaged
Photograph damage
