Hurricane Sandy devastated the Northeast, forcing a countless number of people out of their homes.  Below is a list of organizations seeking donations and volunteers.
 

American Red Cross

Salvation Army

  • To donate by phone, call 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769) or, for a $10 donation, text STORM to 80888, and then confirming the donation with the word, Yes.
     
  • To donate online, visit the Salvation Army website.
     
  • Mail check donations to The Salvation Army Disaster Relief, P.O. Box 1959, Atlanta, GA 30301. In the memo section, please include earmark checks for 2012 Hurricane Season

North Carolina Baptist Men

Providing assistance with feeding, recovery (chainsaw, mudouts, etc.) childcare, showers, and rebuilding.
