A man in the driver's seat was found suffering from a gunshot wound on Rose Garden Lane. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Red Cross was assembling what it calls emergency response vehicles (ERV) at a staging area in Raleigh to help with response to Hurricane Earl Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.
