Ferry update: All routes but one end at dark

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division is suspending runs on all ferry routes, except the Hatteras-Ocracoke route, at dark this evening.

Service on the Southport-Fort Fisher route was suspended late this morning due to high winds and seas.

The Ferry Division anticipates resuming service Saturday after approval from the U.S. Coast Guard.
