We can only hope it is anti-climatic but I've found that you should never underestimate the weather. Many people, myself included, discounted the inland effects of both Fran and Floyd. You can just never tell ... better to be safe than sorry. Cliche' but true.

I'm a father to a 3 month old, so unless Hanna plans to attack the Pampers isle at my local Target store, my plans haven't changed one bit! In all honesty though, if the media is guilty of anything, it's over-hyping these things. I understand the dangers, but some of the adjectives used to describe Hanna are just, well, bad. Hanna's "assult" and "rips towards", etc.. just too much. A little wind, a lot of rain. Whoopie! Had that two weeks ago, plus a lot of lightening and hail.

Although we aren't taking this lightly, I think the media is over playing this alot.

I lived in Wilmington from 95' to 03', went through Bertha, Fran, Bonnie, Floyd, yada yada yada, and would always get a chuckle out of the media's hype! I loved the blood-red buzz-saw graphics they would use for the hurricane, and all the subtle little "enhancements". I played frisbee in Bertha, partied during Fran, swam my butt off during Floyd.
