I just drove in from Sanford to my downtown Southern Pines business. Brian mentioned that there is a problem with the exits off of Highway 1...not true ! Businesses are OPEN no problems in downtown Southern Pines, in fact the drive in from Sanford was pleasant. Thank you for such great storm coverage.

We live in Clayton,NC in Johnston County, and we have not seen any major damage. All we have is massive amounts of rain, and heavy winds. Our backyards, and our neighbors yards are all flooded. The streets seem to be draining fine. Right now, everyone is okay, we have power, and we are all glad that Hanna has made her way through quickly.

We are experiencing high winds now and very strong gusts. I haven't checked the rain gauge, so don't know how much rain we have had, estimate maybe an inch or less. The wind gusts are at least 35-40 mph. It's exciting to see Mother Nature in action, without being too dangerous. We came from Charleston,SC, 7 yrs ago and we used to go to the beaches to watch the angry seas swell and rock the piers. But, this is okay, watching the trees from by back porch.
