Today, we're excited to announce a new WRAL.com exclusive feature: Web Weather Wednesdays!  Every Wednesday, we'll be taking you beyond the forecast, digging into the whys and hows of our wild Carolina weather.

This week's Web Weather Wednesday centers around hurricanes.  Join me as I update the seasonal forecasts and talk about some early-season hurricanes that have struck North Carolina.

In the coming weeks, we'll be talking with 5 On Your Side's Monica Laliberte about flood insurance and digging deeper into the science behind our forecasts with Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel.  If you've got comments about a past segment or an idea for a future segment, drop us a line!
