Where can I find a record of average monthly temperatures for the last 5-10 years, or more?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:      Al,    One good source with that information is the Southeast Regional Climate Center. Just go to www.sercc.com/climateinfo/historical/historical_nc.html, click on the station you're interested in, and then look for the "Monthly Temperature Listings" links along the left side of the page.

Note that there is a bit of a lag before the most recent few months become available on this site. To fill in those gaps, you can check www.weather.gov/climate/index.php?wfo=rah, where you would select "Monthly Weather Summary" under step 1, pick the station you want under step 2, click "archived reports" and select the month of interest in step three, and then click Go to see the report, which will include an average max, average min, and mean temperature for the month. These summaries are avilable within a day or two of the end of any given month.
