Ask the Meteorologists
Have a question for our meteorologists? Post it here and check back later for the answer.
How many days have we had in the last two years that the temp fell below 40?
MIKE MOSS SAYS: Diane, Here are some totals from the Raleigh-Durham airport. The temperature fell below 40 degrees 109 times in 2006, 103 times in 2007 and 63 times so far in 2008. If you include 40 degrees (so that days with a low of 40 are included) thos totals increase to 112, 110 and 65 respectively.

- Where can I find the allergy information that used to be on the website? Thanks! Posted: Aug. 26, 2008
- Hey there, I was just wondering how much money do meteorologists get paid? Also, HOW do you get paid exactly? I know that the salaries and whatnot may differ from city to city, how experienced you are, and what broadcast network you work with, but I'd like to have the general overview of a life as a meteorologist, including the pay. :) Posted: Aug. 26, 2008
- Define "excessive lightning". Isn't one strike too much if it hits your house, and 1000 strikes irrelevant if no damage occurs? Also using the term "excessive" impies that lower amount is acceptable, right? Posted: Aug. 23, 2008
