MIKE MOSS SAYS: Pam, I remember that snow well - I was a Wing Weather Officer at Pope AFB at the time, and we received 6 inches of snow. If I recall correctly we also had some thunder and lightning at night as part of that snowstorm, which was a really awesome experience. Anyway, the Raleigh-Durham airport reported 7.3 inches of snow with that system.
