What is the all-time RDU record for the warmest low temperature (highest min as you call it)? I thought it was 79 or 80. Are we going to break this record tonight?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:     Richard,    The highest low temperature recorded at RDU since observations began there in the 1940s has been 78 degrees, occuring on at least three previous occasions, and that record was tied Thursday morning, 9 August, which set a new record for that date. We also tied the old records for warmest lows on 7, 8 and 10 Aug with 75, 76 and 75 degrees respectively. Of course, we also hit records on the high end of the scale this week, with 102, 104 and 104 setting new marks for 8, 9 and 10 August. The highest ever at RDU has been 105 degrees, last recorded 18 Aug, 1988.
