Can you point me to a web site that would give normal daily high and low temps for October in Central NC?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:      James,    Here are a couple of good places to find that information. First, for a few select locations you can find normal highs and lows at this National Weather Service page:

http://www.weather.gov/climate/local_data.php?wfo=rah

Note that you'll find listings for both "average" and "normal" temperatures. They are fairly close to one another, but there is some additional processing that goes into establishing the "normal" values for 1971-2000 that can make them a bit different from the simple 30-year average.
