I have been trying to locate maps of the US which show average annual temperature, heat index, relative humidity, and snowfall. Everything that I find on the web is for current rather than average statistics. Any ideas where I might be able to locate these?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:     Lee,    As you discovered, it is a bit harder to find maps of those variables than one might expect, at least in a national sense. Numbers to go with most of the data are readily available in tables for about 300 sites around the country at

http://ols.nndc.noaa.gov/plolstore/plsql/olstore.prodspecific?prodnum=C00095-PUB-A0001#TABLES

and maps for temperature, snowfall and mean relative humidity can be obtained at

http://cdo.ncdc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/climaps/climaps.pl

but I have not found readily accessible tables or maps for average or normal heat index.

In addition to the maps from NCDC above, some other temperature, precipitation and moisture-related maps can be generated at

http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/USclimate/USclimdivs.html

and at
