With our highs this weekend in the low 50's and lows sunday morning to be in the mid to upper 20's ..how cold would this airmass have been if it came during the 3rd week of January?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:    David,    It isn't entirely straightforward to translate an April pattern back to January and make a confident estimate of how the temperatures would have responded then, but looking at airmasses with similar intrinsic properties, as they might respond to the shorter days, lower solar angles and and longer nights of mid to late January, it isn't unreasonable to figure that, given similar conditions in terms of cloud cover and wind as we saw this weekend, the upper 40s to around 50 highs we saw on Saturday would have tended more toward the upper 30s to low 40s then, while Sunday morning's lows in the mid to upper 20s may have ranged in the low to mid teens instead.
