Has it ever snowed in the sandhills of NC in April?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:    Patty,   Around an inch of snow was recorded at Sanford and at Pope AFB on 18 Apr 1983. Several other stations a bit farther south and west in the Sandhills indicate no measurable snow during that month in their records.
