Where Did Lake Levels Go?

Posted Updated

Why did you hide the lake levels? The term recreational forecast does not relate easily to lake levels. Other than that all seems good.

On the news side Video shorts are nice for info but ads are not appreciated. Would rather have the printed version than "have" to listen to the ad.

Used this forum as did not see the normal contact us section or comments on the new format. I check this site daily at work and home.

MIKE MOSS SAYS:   Pat,  we certainly didn't intend to make the Lake Levels hard to find, and we have had them on a "recreational forecast" page in the past, although our old site did have some alternate ways to retrieve the graphic. I would say it partly comes down to trying to reduce the large number of individual links on the front page of the weather site. I am hoping we will soon be able to add back to our site the old "WRAL Water Watch" page, which also had Lake info along with a wealth of links to other rainfall, surface and groundwater information sources for the region.

As for your other comments on the site in general, thanks for sending along your thoughts. I will pass them along to the Web staff here. For others reading this forum, there is an e-mail address you can use to provide comments and suggestions to the site designers. Just send them to sitefeedback@wral.com
