Strong Saturday Storms?
Posted April 29, 2005
We have a strong cold front approaching from the west and is poised to move through our part of the state Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Ahead of the cold front this afternoon there have been numerous severe thunderstorm warnings across Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. The severe reports from the region all mention hail from these storms. Sizes ranged from peas to as large as golf balls.
Conditions are favorable for strong or severe thunderstorms across North Carolina and Virginia for the day Saturday. Check out the Storm Prediction Center's Convective Outlook for the day Saturday here http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/
Have a great weekend!
