Just A Tease For Some!!!

Well for our part of North Carolina, the Blizzard of 2006 that produced record breaking snow in New York City of 26.9", wasn't!

Saturday for us turned out wet as the air aloft was too warm to support any snow mixed in with our rain. But as the storm pulled away and the colder air moved in, we had instability snow showers and flurries pop up for Sunday afternoon.

Here are some pictures sent to us from some viewers across the viewing area.

Jim and Kim Davis in Scotland Neck sent in these nice shots showing off the white stuff from Sunday afternoon. Halifax County was one of the places as was Person County that saw an impressive burst of snow.

The Bailey family from Nashville in Nash County sent us this shot as the snow was mixing with some rain Sunday afternoon.

Now it wasn't a tease for our northern mountains. These photos are courtesy of Leah Fulbright in Ashe County. She said as of 6pm Sunday evening they had anywhere from 10-14" of snow. Her property lies at an elevation of 4000 feet.

Is that Greg Fishel I see off in the distance? LOL........Ah now my bad.... it looks like Leah's dog. I am sure Greg would have loved to be in this snow!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much to the folks who took the time to send their snow pictures!!!!!
