RALEIGH, N.C. — A low pressure system moving to the east is expected to bring rain to much of the Triangle all day Friday.

"It will be with us all day and it will be chilly," WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said. "What a miserable day we have in store for us."

The wet weather is expected to roll into the Triangle during the morning commute and stretch into the late evening. There is a 100 percent chance for rain, and temperatures are expected to top out in the low 50s, Gardner said.

The wet weather will move out on Saturday, which will be mostly cloudy with some sun.

"This rain does not continue all weekend," Gardner said.

Sunday is expected to be sunny with highs in the 60s although the chance for wet weather returns Sunday night.

"It's a pretty active pattern we have with us," Gardner said.
