Cary, N.C. — A water main ruptured early Wednesday in a neighborhood off of Ten-Ten Road in Cary, town officials said.
Repair crews were called to Gentlewoods Drive at about 6:30 a.m., although it wasn't immediately clear what caused the 8-inch main to break.
According to a town spokeswoman, about 40 homes were without water. Crews closed the road from Breyman Court to Parson Woods Lane, saying that repairs are expected to last until 5 p.m.
Water service should also be restored by 5 p.m., officials said.
