RALEIGH, N.C. — A water main leak has forced police to close Wade Avenue's westbound lanes between Oberlin and Canterbury roads.

The work is expected to extend through the evening commute Tuesday. Westbound traffic on Wade is being detoured onto Oberlin. Drivers are asked to use alternative westbound routes until the road can be reopened to traffic.
