A broken water main created a large sinkhole in Henderson Friday morning, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedHENDERSON, N.C. — A broken water main created a large sinkhole in Henderson Friday morning, authorities said.
The sinkhole on Shirley Drive near Nelson Street measured 12 feet long and was 2½ feet deep, authorities said.
No vehicles became stuck in the sinkhole, but crews had to block off the intersection to repair the water main and fill the hole.
