Water main break closes Guess Road in Durham

— Guess Road was closed between Carver Street and Kirk Road Monday evening due to a water main break.

Police closed Guess Road shortly after 6 p.m. It reopened at 11:30 p.m. 

The cause of the water main break is still under investigation.

    Here's the reason... the pipe was old. :-)

    They just replaced an 80 y.o. water pipe about a mile away. It was almost 3' in diameter, went under buildings, driveways, major roads and took several months to replace.

    This stuff isn't cheap and it's not going away. This is the type of infrastructure that the government talks about.

    Sorry you guys got the name of the streets wrong in Durham on Guess Road. Not Kirk Road, but Kirkwood Drive
