A fire that tore through a Holly Springs home Monday night was apparently sparked by a water heater in the garage, a town spokesman said.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — A fire that tore through a Holly Springs home Monday night was apparently sparked by a water heater in the garage, a town spokesman said.

The blaze started shortly before 7 p.m. on Tullich Way in the Oak Hall subdivision. The home suffered extensive damage, but no one was injured.
