Water activities resume at Lake Wheeler
The recreational skiing and tubing areas at Lake Wheeler reopened Friday after being closed for three days because of high levels of bacteria, Wake County officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The recreational skiing and tubing areas at Lake Wheeler reopened Friday after being closed for three days because of high levels of bacteria, Wake County officials said.
Some activities were banned Tuesday after testing showed elevated levels of E. coli bacteria. The levels hare returned to normal standards, officials said.
