Watch It: Star of Theatre Raleigh's 'The Secret Garden' sings 'I Heard Someone Crying'

Theatre Raleigh is presenting "The Secret Garden," a musical based on the classic children's novel, through Sunday at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts in Raleigh.

I had the opportunity to check in with the show's star, Skyla Woodard, an 11-year-old local sixth grader, who plays the role of Mary Lennox. Skyla also performed in N.C. Theatre's Disney's The Little Mermaid and Disney's & Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins. She also recently made her TV debut in the series finale of AMC's TURN: Washington's Spies this month.
