Warrants: Raleigh man stole nearly $30K in break-ins
Authorities believe that a Raleigh man stole nearly $30,000 worth of property this past fall in a string of home break-ins stretching from western north Raleigh to southeastern Wake County, according to arrest warrants.

Warrants state that Darnell William King, 28, of 3137 Rendevous Drive, broke into nine homes and tried to break into a tenth from Sept. 24 to Nov. 19.
The break-ins occurred on Broken Branch Court, Anne Avenue and Tanglewood Drive, which are off Poole Road; Spring Drive, which is near Glenwood Avenue in north Raleigh; and Huntleigh, Saratoga and Brinkley drives, which are off Capital Boulevard, just north of the Beltline.
Targeted items include computers, rifle scopes, flat-screen TVs, jewelry and video game systems, the warrants state. Once, $2 in cash was stolen.
King was charged Thursday with nine counts of felony breaking and entering, eight counts of larceny after breaking and entering and one count each of attempted breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Wake County jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
