Warrants: Man attempts to kill woman with knives

A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged Saturday with attempting to kill a woman with two large kitchen knives, according to an arrest warrant.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 36-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning on charges that he allegedly tried to kill a woman with two large kitchen knives at their home.

Robert Levelle Williams, of 1108 Savannah Drive, is charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflict serious injury.

The incident is classified as a domestic violence case, according to the warrant, which says Williams cut the woman multiple times.

She was taken to WakeMed, where she was treated for her injuries.

Williams remained in the Wake County jail Sunday under no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
