Willow Springs, N.C. — Arrest warrants for a Raleigh man detail how police think he and others broke into a Willow Spring home in June and detained two men inside while they robbed the place, then shot and killed them.
The crime happened at the home of Roger Trujillo Perez, at 2832 N.C. Highway 42, on June 24 between 3 and 3:30 a.m. Perez, 30, and a neighbor, Agustin Yoni Gonzalez, 26, were found dead inside the home later that day.
According to the warrants, Venustiano Mondragon Lucas, 33, of 4904 Monk Drive in Raleigh, broke into the home along with two other men. Inside, Perez and Gonzalez were sleeping. Lucas is charged with three counts of kidnapping, because he and the other suspects restrained the victims while they allegedly stole a safe.
He faces charges for the larceny of the safe, for burglary and five counts of conspiracy to commit the crimes.
Jose Carlos Abarca, 23, 8970 Buffalo Road in Clayton, is charged with felony conspiracy, according to arrest warrants. He was being held in the Wake County jail under a $100,000 bond.
