Warrant: Robber armed with frying pan

Jerome Dannel Sanders, 25, of 1312-B State St. in Raleigh, broke another man's jaw with a frying pan during a robbery on Saturday that netted $50, according to an arrest warrant.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man broke another man's jaw with a frying pan during a robbery on Saturday that netted $50, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant says that Jerome Dannel Sanders, 25, also fractured the eye socket of Danny McClean, of Raleigh.

Sanders, of 1312 S. State St., faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was being held in the Wake County Jail Sunday under a $50,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

According to state Department of Correction, Sanders was placed on probation April 24 after being convicted of felony breaking-and-entering in Franklin County. His criminal record dates to 2001 and includes eight convictions on various breaking-and-entering charges and 12 on larceny charges in Franklin, Vance and Wake counties.
