Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — High temperatures in the 80s over the next couple of days bring the chance for afternoon storms, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.
Wednesday's high is forecast to top the 80-degree mark before a weak cool front swoops down from the north that could trigger showers or storms. The pattern continues for Thursday and Friday, with the greater chance of storms coming Friday afternoon and evening.
After Friday's front, weekend looks significantly cooler, with highs only in the mid-60s.
