Wanted N.C. sex offender nabbed in Connecticut

A 28-year-old convicted sex offender wanted in Nash County was arrested in Connecticut Friday after nearly two years on the run.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A 28-year-old convicted sex offender wanted in Nash County was arrested in Connecticut Friday after nearly two years on the run.

Curtis Miller, of Rocky Mount, was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to register as a sex offender after he moved to Nash County in 2008.

The Nash County Sheriff's Office received information that Miller was in Connecticut, and U.S. marshals arrested him without incident. He is expected to be extradited to North Carolina.

Miller was convicted in 2006 of of taking indecent liberties with a 15-year-old in Edgecombe County, according to the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry. He was sentenced to three years' probation.
