Wake Tech unveils new logo, brand strategy

Wake Technical Community College on Wednesday unveiled a new logo and strategy that officials say better reflect the school's place in and impact on the region.
The moves coincide with Wake Tech's 50th anniversary.
The new logo is a torch, suggesting light to lead the way and illuminate the path for students and for the community. The letters “WT” make up the torch, with the lines of the “W” representing the flame and the “T” creating the torch. The logo is accompanied by the tagline, “Lead the way.”
“Wake Tech’s new logo signifies a life-changing journey,” Laurie Clowers, associate vice president of communications, said in a statement. “Wherever you want to go, Wake Tech can help get you there. Our dedicated and passionate faculty and staff are here to lead the way, and all those who embark on such a journey lead the way for themselves, their families and many others.”
