Guilt established already? Where is the noose?

Was it determined that the driver was texting? Let's not jump to conclusions.

Amazing, the article says a Wake County School Bus was involved in a crash. No where does it say it was the bus driver's fault but all the comments sure suggest it was. When I went by the site, the vehicles were a school bus and a vehicle behind it, which indicates to me the following vehicle hit the back of the bus. I may be wrong but I'm not going to blame a bus driver until I have more facts.

There have been more school bus wrecks with adult drivers then when they were letting high school kids drive the buses it seems.

Some school bus drivers do use their cell phones when running their routes. Last school year I contacted the WCPSS transportation dept. after my 10 yr old daughter came home telling me that the bus driver almost side swiped a car b/c she was TEXTING WHILE DRIVING A SCHOOL BUS LOADED WITH ELEM. KIDS. After finally getting ahold of the right person I was told that the they would talk to the driver and it wouldn't happen again. When the texting happened again I contacted the WCPSS transportation dept. again and I was basically told that my daughter was a liar. So the next week, armed with my digital camera, my daughter took a short video clip of another incident with the driver texting while driving the bus loaded with kids. Two days later the driver was switched to another route. Whether or not any disciplinary action was ever taken against her, I'm not sure b/c that information is "not public record." So be careful folks, she might still be out there endangering your children and mine.

I witnessed a bus driver talking on her cell phone about a year ago. I got the bus number and called the proper number to report it. Don't know what ever happened about that, but I know it happens. I've seen it.

Good no kids were hurt. However, I have noticed on several occasions school bus drivers talking on cell phones while driving. Wonder how many school bus accidents are the result of cell phone use by drivers?

I drove by it as it happened. There was really no "wreck" more a bump. The EMS/Fire/Police response to this little incident was unbeleivable. However better safe than sorry.

No damage to the bus, but how much to the other vehicle if there was one or did the bus go into a ditch?

uh, there was "there was no visible damage to the bus" but the title of this article is "Wake school bus wrecks in Raleigh"??!! How does this qualify as "wrecks"?! Stop sensationalizing stories!
