RALEIGH, N.C. — A bus driver for the Wake County Public School System has resigned after he was cited for DWI charge, district spokeswoman Lisa Luten said Tuesday.

Police on Saturday arrested Donnie Lee Ballentine, 63, of 1406 Creech Road, Garner, after he admitted to police that he hit a car on East Martin Street in Raleigh and then left the scene.
