School officials in Wake, Person and Vance counties canceled makeup days scheduled for Saturday due to slick road conditions. 

Wake County officials also canceled county-wide SAT tests scheduled for Saturday morning.

Black ice was being reported across many parts of the Triangle at 7 a.m., and thousands of people were still without power in Durham, Orange and Person counties due to the winter storm that roared through the region Thursday night and Friday.

It wasn't clear when the schools would reschedule the makeup days or tests.
