Wake County libraries will host six opportunities for high schoolers to take a full length practice PSAT in May.

Kaplan Test Prep is offering the free program. Students who take the test will get a score report and an analysis of their performance.

The first program is at 1:30 p.m., May 3, at West Regional Library in Cary. They continue on various days through May 16 at Cameron Village, Southeast Regional, East Regional, Eva Perry and North Regional libraries.

Wake libraries' website has more information and the full schedule. Registration is required for these so be sure to sign up. The program is designed for grades six and up.
The PSAT is currently give to all sophomores in Wake County. Freshmen and juniors also can take the test if they register for it. The pre-test for the SATs can give students information on how to prepare for the SAT that they might take later, according to Wake schools. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation also uses junior year PSAT scores to qualify students for some scholarships.
